Application Notes

• Brush application: For a balanced matte surface and well-defined speckle distribution, 2-3 coats are recommended. Allow the surface to dry completely between coats and apply each coat in a different direction.
• Coat effect: As application thickness increases, the opacity of the white base, density of the brown speckles, and surface texture may vary.
• Speckle character: The size, color, and distribution of the speckles may vary depending on the clay body, application thickness, firing temperature, and cooling rate.
• Surface texture: A lightly textured and velvety surface may develop after firing. On textured forms, the speckles and tonal transitions may appear more dynamic.
• Flow character: Its low-flow character helps maintain the position of the speckles on the surface and provides more controlled results on vertical forms.
• Preparation: Mix thoroughly before use to ensure even distribution of the speckle-forming particles and white pigments.
