Application Notes

• Brush application: For a balanced surface and pronounced blue tonal transitions, 2-3 coats are recommended. Allow the surface to dry completely between coats and apply each coat in a different direction.
• Fluidity: Due to its slightly fluid character, natural color transitions and wave-like movement may develop on vertical forms. Leaving sufficient clearance near the bottom of the piece is recommended.
• Coat effect: Thicker applications may increase the depth of the blue tones and enhance the glass-like appearance. Excessively thick application may increase the risk of running.
• Clay body selection: This glaze produces balanced results on high-fire clay bodies. The color and surface characteristics of the clay may affect the blue tones that develop after firing.
