USAGE GUIDELINES
SLIP CASTING (LIQUID CLAY)
  • Ensure the casting slip is prepared 1 day in advance using sodium silicate (water glass).
  • Mix the slip thoroughly with an electric mixer or a wooden spoon before pouring.
  • Pour the slip slowly into the mold, filling it completely to the rim.
  • Depending on weather conditions, 2 to 4 casts can be made per day.
MOLD PREPARATION & LONGEVITY

Before casting, wipe the interior of the mold with a damp sponge to remove any dust or particles. Minor external surface damage or chips on the edges do not affect the quality of the final product as long as the interior surface remains smooth and intact.

  • New Molds: If the mold arrives wet, wait 1 to 2 days for it to dry before use.
  • Maintenance: Using the mold at the correct moisture level ensures the best results for your bisque.
The integrity of the mold's interior is the primary factor for high quality production.
Mold Lifespan: Average 100 uses
(May vary depending on clay type, usage frequency, and maintenance conditions.)
