Technical Details and Application

Painting and Glazing

Refsan underglaze ready-to-use paints are highly compatible with this Boiler series cup. For daily kitchenware use, ensuring a lead-free, non-porous glazed finish is essential for hygiene and durability.

  • Ceramic Application: Fire between 1040°C and 1050°C for a professional, high-gloss, and resilient finish.
  • Tile (Çini) Application: Traditional tile glazes maturing at 900°C – 920°C are perfect for showcasing refined artisanal patterns.

Decorative Use with Acrylic Paint

  • Suitable only for display-oriented decorative projects (no kiln firing required).
  • Safety Warning: Items finished with acrylics are not food-safe. Do not use for drinking or serving if finished with acrylic paint.

Craftsmanship & Handcrafted Variations

Fired at 1050°C to reach its sturdy bisque state, each Boiler cup reflects the unique touch of artisanal production. Natural variations in thickness, size, or clay tone are hallmarks of authentic handcrafted pottery, ensuring every cup has its own unique character.

Firing Safety & Guidelines

  • Surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned of dust and dried before applying glaze.
  • Strictly follow the temperature requirements of the specific glaze type used.
  • Performing a test fire is suggested to observe how kiln atmosphere influences the final bisque color.
