A367 Metallic Artistic Low-Fire Glaze

A367 is an artistic low-fire glaze that gives ceramic surfaces an industrial, bold, and sophisticated appearance with metallic reflections developing over dark anthracite and black tones. Its surface depth changes depending on the angle of light, creating striking results in modern, brutalist, and dramatic designs.

Not Food Safe: This glaze is not recommended for functional surfaces of plates, bowls, mugs, or similar items that come into contact with food. It should be used for decorative applications.

Application Notes

  • Coat application: Apply 2-5 coats for optimal metallic depth and an even surface. Allow the surface to dry completely between coats.
  • Reflection intensity: As the number of coats increases, the depth of the metallic reflections and saturation of the dark tones may vary.
  • Consistency adjustment: For dipping or spraying, 10-15% water may be added depending on the required working consistency.
  • Surface effect: On relief and textured forms, metallic reflections interact with light at different angles, making surface details more pronounced.
  • Preparation: Mix the glaze thoroughly before use to ensure even distribution of metallic pigments and artistic particles.
Important Recommendation: The intensity of the metallic reflections, appearance of the dark tones, and surface gloss may vary depending on application thickness, clay body, firing curve, and kiln atmosphere. Testing on a sample tile before the main application is recommended.
