A290 Oil Green Artistic Low-Fire Glaze

A290 Oil Green is an artistic low-fire glaze that combines deep olive and oil green tones with a high-gloss finish and a strong color character. Its tonal variations deepen in recessed areas while becoming lighter and more pronounced along edges and curves, giving surfaces a natural, dimensional, and organic appearance.

  • Consistency adjustment: Ready to use for brush application. For dipping or spraying, 10-15% water may be added depending on the desired working consistency.
  • Clay body selection: On light-colored low-fire clay bodies, the oil green tone may appear clearer and more vibrant, while darker clay bodies may produce a deeper and richer appearance.
  • Surface effect: On textured and relief surfaces, the glaze may concentrate in recessed areas, enhancing form details and tonal variations.
  • Preparation: Mix the product thoroughly before use to ensure even distribution of pigments and artistic particles across the surface.
Important Recommendation: The intensity of the oil green tone, gloss level, and surface color variations may change depending on application thickness, clay body, firing curve, and kiln atmosphere. Testing on a sample tile before the main application is recommended.
