Application Notes

• Brush application: Apply 2-5 coats for a balanced amber tone and pronounced crystal development. Allow the surface to dry completely between coats.
• Coat effect: As application thickness increases, the depth of the amber color, microcrystal density, and metallic reflections may become more pronounced.
• Clay body selection: On light-colored clay bodies, the amber tone may appear brighter and clearer. On darker clay bodies, the surface may develop a deeper appearance with lower contrast.
• Reactive character: Crystal distribution, metallic variations, and stone-like color transitions may vary depending on firing temperature, kiln atmosphere, hold time, and cooling rate.
• Flow characteristics: Glaze movement may increase with thicker applications and on vertical surfaces. A thinner application near the bottom of the form and sufficient clearance from the kiln shelf are recommended.
