Botz 9348 Spring Green is a ready-to-use liquid glaze distinguished by its vibrant spring-green tone and semi-transparent character. It allows the underlying clay body color and surface details to remain partially visible. Since the glaze has a very high tendency to flow during firing, application thickness and clearance from the base must be carefully controlled.

Application Notes

• Mixing: The product should be stirred thoroughly before and regularly during application to ensure that the color-producing components remain evenly distributed.
• Surface preparation: The bisque surface to be glazed should be clean, dry, free from grease, and thoroughly dust-free.
• First coat: Apply the first coat evenly and in a controlled manner, then allow it to dry sufficiently before applying the second coat.
• Second coat: Apply a second coat to achieve balanced color and surface development; due to the glaze's highly fluid character, avoid creating excessively thick areas.
• Coat direction: The second coat may be applied in a different direction from the first to help minimize brush marks and variations in coverage.
• Transparency effect: Due to its semi-transparent character, the underlying clay color, surface texture, and decorative details may remain partially visible after firing.
• Thickness effect: The intensity of the green color, level of transparency, and amount of glaze flow may vary between areas with thinner and thicker application.
