921 Candy Pink is a ready-to-use colored glaze that creates a vivid, soft, and glossy pink finish on pottery surfaces. Its liquid form makes it suitable for brush, spray gun, and dipping applications. After firing, it adds color, shine, and a water-resistant surface to pottery forms.

Food Safe: This glaze is suitable for surfaces that come into contact with food when proper application and firing at 1050°C are ensured.
250 ml Packaging Information: The 250 ml packaging option is prepared with a reduced water content and increased pigment concentration. The product is supplied at a consistency suitable for direct brush application.

Application Notes

  • Mixing: Shake or stir the glaze container thoroughly before application to ensure that the coloring components are distributed evenly.
  • Surface preparation: Remove all dust, dirt, and residue from the bisque-fired surface. Apply the product to a clean and dry surface.
  • Baumé adjustment: Adjust the product density according to the application method. A Baumé range of 38-40°Bé is recommended for spray gun application and 40-42°Bé for dipping.
  • Brush consistency: If the standard product will be applied by brush, it may be left to stand for at least 12 hours. Excess water that collects on the surface can be carefully removed with a syringe to achieve a thicker consistency.
  • 250 ml concentrated product: Since this packaging option contains less water and a higher pigment concentration, it can be applied directly with a brush.
  • Spray gun application: Adjust the product to the appropriate Baumé range, mix thoroughly, and spray it onto the surface in even coats.
  • Dipping application: Dip the bisque-fired piece into the product in a controlled manner. After removal, allow the excess glaze to drain and the surface moisture to dissipate.
  • Drying: The specified surface drying time is 3-4 seconds. Ambient temperature, humidity, bisque absorbency, and application thickness may affect this duration.
  • Cellulose use: If adjusting the dipping consistency is difficult, 1% cellulose may be added to the product.
  • Cellulose warning: Cellulose may take time to dissolve and can form lumps if it does not dissolve completely. This process is recommended for experienced users.
  • Single-color application: The glaze can be applied on its own to create a uniform, glossy candy pink surface.
  • Multicolor application: Before combining it with glazes in similar or contrasting shades, check the color transitions and chemical compatibility on a test tile.
  • Underglaze decoration: Colored glazes may be opaque or semi-opaque and can reduce the visibility of underglaze designs. If the design needs to remain clearly visible, a transparent glaze should be preferred.
  • Overglaze decoration: Once glazing and firing are complete, decoration can be applied using suitable overglaze colors. Follow the recommended firing schedule for the selected overglaze product.
  • Firing: Once the surface moisture of the applied glaze has dissipated, fire the piece at 1050°C.
  • Safety: Use appropriate personal protective equipment during application and ensure adequate ventilation in the work area. In case of contact with the eyes, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water.
  • Storage: Keep the container tightly closed and store it at room temperature away from direct sunlight.
Important Recommendation: The intensity, opacity, and surface gloss of the candy pink shade may vary depending on the application method, Baumé value, coat thickness, color and absorbency of the clay body, and firing schedule. Preparing test tiles using the intended application method and consistency values is recommended before proceeding with the main application.
