Applications & Recommendations
Slip Casting in Plaster Molds
When properly prepared, the casting slip can be used in plaster molds. With the correct consistency, it helps achieve even mold filling and smooth surface finishes.
Press Forming
Suitable for press-forming applications when prepared with the appropriate moisture content.
High-Fire Porcelain Production
Suitable for porcelain products requiring a glaze firing temperature of 1180°C. The selected glaze should be compatible with both the porcelain body and the firing schedule.
Single-Fire Applications
Under suitable production conditions, unglazed pieces may be single-fired at temperatures up to approximately 1200°C. Small-scale testing is recommended according to the product shape and kiln program.
MIXING & SODIUM SILICATE RECOMMENDATION
To improve casting fluidity and performance, 0.08–0.1% sodium silicate (water glass) may be added. This corresponds to approximately 80–100 g per 100 kg of casting powder. The exact amount should be determined through small-scale testing according to the desired consistency.
FIRING NOTICE
If the bisque firing is carried out at an excessively high temperature and the piece is fired again at a high temperature for glazing, issues such as warping, deformation, or poor glaze adhesion may occur. The firing schedule should be carefully planned according to the wall thickness, glaze characteristics, and kiln program.
Product Advantages
High-Fire Compatibility
Its formulation is designed for 1180°C glaze firing, making it suitable for high-fire porcelain and ceramic applications.
Smooth & Refined Surface
The porcelain body helps produce clean, smooth surfaces with excellent reproduction of mold details.
Versatile Applications
Suitable for both slip casting in plaster molds and compatible press-forming processes.
Granulated Form
The granulated composition allows controlled mixing and helps produce a homogeneous casting slip.
Suitable for Studios & Production
The 25 kg package is suitable for both studio use and larger-scale production applications.
PALLET SHIPPING INFORMATION
For bulk orders, 1-ton pallet shipments are supplied on pallets measuring approximately 100 × 120 × 80 cm.
As production conditions may vary, testing is recommended before full-scale production for mixing ratios, slip consistency, casting time, press forming, drying, glaze compatibility, and firing performance.
