Painting and Glazing

Refsan underglaze ready-to-use paints work seamlessly on these bisque forms. Selecting the correct glaze is vital for ensuring the surface is hygienic and durable for daily use.

• Ceramic Application: Fire between 1040°C and 1050°C for a professional-grade, smooth, and easy-to-clean finish.
• Tile (Çini) Application: For artisanal decorative mugs, use tile glazes fired at 900°C – 920°C for a delicate, artistic look.

Decorative Use with Acrylic Paint

• Ideal for display-only items using acrylic paints, which do not require kiln firing.
• Safety Warning: Mugs finished with acrylic paint are not food-safe. Do not use them for drinking if they haven't been professionally glazed and fired.
• We recommend applying a protective varnish after acrylic painting to safeguard the design.

Handcrafted Quality & Natural Variations

Our mugs are carefully fired at 1050°C to reach the sturdy bisque state. As a product of slip casting and artisanal work, minor variations in thickness, size, or clay tone (white vs. red clay) may occur, highlighting the authentic nature of the piece.
