OZZ GLAZE Krater Light - Textured Stoneware Glaze

OZZ GLAZE Krater Light is a professional stoneware glaze that brings the dramatic texture of wilderness and lava flows to your ceramic works. Specially developed for high-temperature firing, this glaze adds unique artistic depth to your designs with its foamy, porous, and crater-like structure formed on the surface. An excellent choice for modern and sculptural forms, Krater Light emphasizes form details through the play of light and shadow.

Important Warning: Due to its artistic and reactive texture, this glaze is NOT SUITABLE for food-contact surfaces and kitchenware. It should only be used on decorative objects and artistic works.

Application and Textural Properties

Krater Light glaze is extremely sensitive to application thickness on the bisque, which provides an advantage for artistic control. For brush applications, applying 2-3 consecutive layers is recommended. If you wish to achieve deeper, larger, and more prominent crater pores, you must increase the application thickness. Thinner layers result in a finer texture and a more closed surface. Determining the application thickness through tests in your own studio environment will ensure the most ideal artistic result for your project.

Spray and Dipping Applications

Although the product is in a ready-to-use liquid form, it may be necessary to adjust the glaze's fluidity if spray or dipping methods are preferred. In these cases, 10-20% water can be added while stirring very well until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
