GCM 508 Coral (Matte Coral) - Ceramingo Ceramic Glaze

GCM 508 Matte Coral is a high-quality matte glaze with a velvety texture that brings the warm sand tones of the Mediterranean coast and the most natural form of terracotta to ceramic surfaces. Striking a serene and sophisticated pose away from gloss, this product is an ideal choice for emphasizing form contours and volume. It creates a warm character in modern minimalist designs or rustic kitchenware collections.

✅ Food Safety: This glaze is non-toxic and suitable for food contact. It can be confidently preferred for matte-textured serving bowls, modern breakfast sets, and natural-looking mug designs.

Application Notes

  • Brushing Technique: Formulated ready for brush application. To capture the smooth and velvety coral effect seen in the reference, applying 3 layers on white ceramic clay is ideal.
  • Matte Character: Due to the matte structure of the glaze, it is recommended to apply each coat perpendicular to the previous one (cross-hatch method) and wait for complete drying between coats to prevent brush strokes.
  • Clay Body Effect: Colors appear at their cleanest on white ceramic clay bodies. On dark or grogged/stoneware clays, the matte texture of the glaze may gain a more rustic and "antique" appearance.
  • Viscosity Adjustment: To achieve ideal fluidity in spraying or dipping methods, you can add water and adjust the density according to your own application style. The glazes as delivered will feel too thick for these alternative methods.
