Application Guidelines

• Texture Development: To fully achieve the characteristic volcanic foam structure, an application of 3-4 coats is recommended. In thinner applications, the texture will be less prominent.
• Application Technique: Suitable for direct brushing. As a reactive glaze, the density of bubbling and swelling can vary depending on the kiln atmosphere during each firing.
• Body Effect: The stone effect appears clearer on light-colored clay bodies, while the volcanic foam effect achieves a much more dramatic look on textured and relief forms.
• Preparation: Stir thoroughly before use to ensure a homogeneous distribution of the special components that create the foamy texture.
